Born and raised in Houston, Texas, shun Fortson is a powerhouse vocalist with over 25 years of experience gracing stages and studios across the nation. A proud graduate of Westbury High School’s Class of 1998, her musical journey began at the young age of eight, singing in the youth choir at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

shun’s dynamic voice and unmatched work ethic have led her to perform background vocals (BGVs) for an impressive roster of iconic artists and events. Her credits include collaborations with legends such as Chaka Khan, George Clinton, and Alicia Keys, as well as performances with Cheryl Lee Ralph, Tweet, T.C. Carson, Keke Wyatt, Mario, Tank, and Tiffany Haddish (Annual Charity & Birthday Event). She has also lent her talents to high-profile events like the Tom Joyner Cruise, Mayors Ball, T.I. & Tiny’s Charity Events, and has been a frequent vocalist with The Ernest Walker Band (EWB) and The Session.
